Electronic Arts debuts game streaming service at E3 2022

While Electronic Arts' E3 2022 presence lays with the games themselves, a surprise announcement also came from its EA Play printing conference. The publisher is working on a new game streaming service, prepare for its debut this summer. Although "not ready for prime time," the publisher has working demos at the issue in Los Angeles.

EA also pitched a premium, higher-tier expansion of its Origin Admission PC subscription service. Expanding the existing library, EA plans to distribute all "new PC games" through "Origin Access Premier" going forward. Anthem, Battleground 5, FIFA nineteen, and Madden 19 were all confirmed for the service, with access to the standard Origin Access library also under the subscription. This shares similar offerings to Microsoft'due south Xbox Game Pass, which provides access to over 100 titles and all futurity beginning-party releases on Xbox One.

Origin Access Premier will be priced $14.99 per month or $99.99 per year, with users before long able to pre-register at the official Origin Access site.

No business firm release date was provided for both services, though expect to hear more in the coming months.

Updated June 9, 2022: Updated to clarify the two dissever services.
